In true Extra Mile spirit, we bring you closer to the people and the land through our expert collaboration with the wonderful couple Karina and Salil whom I have known for many years now. Salil has always been in the luxury travel space creating special experiences with some of leading luxury travel providers in India before he focused his expertise to North East India. Karina, hails from Eastern Arunachal,( may I add from the royal lineage of the Tai Khamti tribe ) brings the intimacy of a personal homecoming, while Salil spent over 15 years uncovering its stories and building lasting connections with its people, this journey opens doors that remain closed to most. They bring you face-to-face with tribal elders, blacksmiths, shamans, naturalists, culinary masters, and more—each encounter a thread in the living tapestry of Arunachal and Nagaland.
